York Festival guitar celebration TWANG returns for second year
The York Festival returns in 2026 with a collection of special events taking over the Wheatbelt town from Friday, October 16, to Sunday, October 18.
Returning after its successful debut in 2025, TWANG is set to celebrate the guitar in all its forms with a stacked lineup of musicians headlined by WA blues legend Dave Hole, Grammy award-winning lap-steel guitarist Lucky Oceans and world-renowned blues-rock guitarist Nathan Cavaleri.
They will be joined by a curated selection of local talent, including Scarlet’s Way, Ian Kenny Band, Lindsay Wells, Empire Blues, Electric State, Interflow, Kerry B Ryan, Nathan Ward, Paul Davies, Refractory Road and Triple Engine, along with a special showcase from WAAPA.
The festival’s major evening performances will take place in the York Town Hall, before the music continues at 9pm with a Late Show at the iconic Castle Hotel.
The three-day event will also feature lunchtime performances, free community music experiences, and a Sound Trail weaving through some of York’s favourite local venues and community spaces.
The full program will be unveiled in mid-August.
TWANG returns as part of York Festival from Friday, October 16, to Sunday, October 18, 2026. Tickets are on sale now from humanitix.com
