Glasgow alt-rockers Del Amitri bring four decades of hits to Australia

Glasgow alt-rock band Del Amitri are set to return to Australia and New Zealand this summer.

Celebrating the songs that have defined their rich and remarkable career, Del Amitiri’s Past to Present: Four Decades of Their Greatest Hits tour hits Astor Theatre on Tuesday, February 23.

Formed in 1980, founding members Justin Currie and Iain Harvie first found success in the late 80s with their hit song Nothing Ever Happens from the album Waking Hours. The following decade brought more success when the band released the sing-along hit Roll to Me, which reached number 10 on the Billboard Hit-100, followed by the internationally recognised song Always the Last to Know.

Following a hiatus in the 2000s, Del Amirtri returned with their seventh studio album, Fatal Mistakes, in 2021 and enjoyed sold-out reunion tours. The band are due to arrive with fresh material from their new record, which is currently in production and set for release later this year).

Del Amitiri’s Past to Present: Four Decades of Their Greatest Hits tour hits Astor Theatre on Tuesday, February 23, 2027. Tickets are on sale Thursday, July 23 from destroyalllines.com
