Perth grunge-new wavers The Disappointed have unveiled their long awaited debut album Escapism, the culmination of seven years and three EPs together, with the five-piece channeling their diverse musical influences and recording experience into a bigger and bolder sound.
The album exemplifies the band’s mish mash of influences ranging from the 90s, through to 80s new wave vibes and mid 70s prog sounds. Track Change The Man sees The Disappointed at their dark new-wave-y best, while Routine Malaise is a layered pop gem that will get stuck in your head, and Stalemate closes out the album with an urgent, desperate and heavy sound.
Thanks to The Disappointed we’ve got five CDs of Escapism to giveaway!
