Will Stoker and The Embers return with new album The Mangroves
Perth-based enigmatic rock outfit Will Stoker and the Embers are back with a new album this summer.
Described as a “12-track melange of rock tunes and avant-garde noise,” The Mangroves was recorded and mixed at RADA Studios by Dan Carroll and mastered by King Willy Sound.
The band are set to celebrate the release of the new record with a special performance at Lyric’s Underground on Friday, December 5, with support from fellow Perth locals The Floors and Grub.
The five-piece, consisting of Will Stoker (vocals/keys), Gareth Bevan (guitar), Dylan Szymkow (guitar), Anthony Jackson (bass) and Ashley Doodkorte (drums), have previously released two singles from the album, On a Better Balustrade and Moonlight, with the full album available from today on Bandcamp.
The Mangroves is the band’s first major release since 2019’s Russian Brides EP and their first full-length record since their self-titled album in 2010.
Will Stoker and The Embers launch their new album, The Mangroves, at Lyric’s Underground on Friday, December 5, 2025. Tickets are on sale now from lyricsunderground.oztix.com
