The Temper Trap mark a new dawn with Sungazer album and national tour
Australian indie-rock stalwarts The Temper Trap are set to return home with a massive headline tour to celebrate the release of their first album in ten years, Sungazer.
The Temper Trap’s Sungazer Tour is set to kick off in Melbourne, then head to Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney before wrapping up with a final show at ICF: Warehouse in Perth on Friday, October 9.
The four-piece’s first full-length project in ten years, Sungazer, is out on Friday, July 10, via Mushroom Music / Virgin Music Group. A special release in the band’s career, Sungazer reflects nearly two decades of evolution, blending The Temper Trap’s signature sound with fresh experimentation.
Fans can expect to hear tracks fresh off the new album onstage, including Lucky Dimes, Giving Up Air and Into the Wild.
Rising to global attention with their 2008 UK Top Ten debut single Sweet Disposition, Melbourne locals The Temper Trap quickly built an international following. The Temper Trap were recently announced as support acts for UK rockers Muse, with upcoming festival sets at Outside Lands and Summerfest. The band has previously shared stages with The Strokes, Rüfüs Du Sol and Charli XCX.
