
The Hives make royal return down under
Swedish rock royalty The Hives will kick off their upcoming world tour in Australia this July. On their first headline shows down under since 2015, the garage rock five-piece will play Metropolis Fremantle on Thursday, July 17.
In a big day for fans, The Hives have also unleashed a high-octane new single, Enough Is Enough, along with news of their seventh record, The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, which is out on Friday, August 29.
The Hives Forever Forever The Hives was created in both Yung Lean/YEAR0001’s and Riksmixningsverket studios. The album was recorded under the guidance of their long-standing collaborator, Pelle Gunnerfeldt, who has worked with Viagra Boys, Yung Lean, Elvira and more.
Distinguished guests on the album include Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and Mike D of the Beastie Boys, who hosted the band at his studio in Malibu.
The Hives, consisting of Howlin’ Pelle, Chris Dangerous, The Johan And Only, Nicholaus Arson, and Vigilante Carlstroem, have, over 30 years, won fans across the world with hits like Hate To Say I Told You So, Walk, Idiot Walk, Main Offender and more. A renowned live band, the group have sold out grand stadiums and shared the stage with monumental acts like AC/DC and The Rolling Stones.
The Hives Forever Forever The Hives is out on Friday, August 29, 2025. The Hives play Metropolis Fremantle on Thursday, July 17. Tickets are on sale Thursday, April 10, from frontiertouring.com
