Teddy Swims announces I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour
Teddy Swims has announced his return to Australia and New Zealand this July. The Atlanta singer-songwriter will bring his I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour to Riverside Theatre on Friday, July 19.
Boasting a staggering 2.2 billion streams worldwide, Swims, along with his band Freak Freely, arrive hot on the release of recent single, Lose Control, which hit #4 on the Billboard Global 200.
“I needed to write about the moment we lost our shot in order to help myself make sense of it all these years later,” says Swims of the track, which has soared to the top of the charts since its release over six months ago, peaking at #2 on the Billboard charts in the USA last month and #3 in the UK.
Born Jaten Dimsdale, Teddy Swims’ 2023 debut studio album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) chronicles his personal triumphs and tribulations, and quickly struck a chord with fans. From soul to funk, gospel to R&B, Swims navigates through a diverse range of musical styles, showcasing remarkable versatility and artistry on the record.
“Now I’m watching people connect with the messages and stories and realising not only are the songs helping me, but they’re also helping them too,” Teddy said of the album, which follows four EP releases. “It feels like all that work on the back end, all that internalising, is finally making a difference.”
Teddy Swims’ I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour hits Riverside Theatre on Friday, July 19, 2024. Tickets are on sale Friday, March 8 from frontiertouring.com
