South Summit RUN IT BACK with new album and national tour
To celebrate their upcoming album, RUN IT BACK, local indie rockers South Summit have announced their biggest Australian headline shows to date.
The band’s RUN IT BACK Tour will head to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne before wrapping up in Metropolis Fremantle, on Saturday, July 25. The band will be joined onstage by alt-rock four-piece LATE 90s.
The tour comes fresh off the announcement of the band’s sophomore album, RUN IT BACK, out on Friday, June 12, which pulls from hip hop and R&B influences as well as their signature fusion of reggae and psychedelia.
Fans can expect to hear tracks from the new album for the first time, with new singles ON THE DASH, TOP OF THE HILL, and WE ARE set to be performed live, as well as fan favourites including Givin’ It Up and Ottoway.
“Taking our second album, RUN IT BACK, on the road feels like a turning point for us,” band guitarist Nemo Reuben said. “These songs have lived with us for so long. Playing these tracks for the first time is always a moment.”
Currently touring through the UK and Europe, supporting The Terrys on a 15-date run, South Summit has built a reputation as one of the country’s most compelling indie rock acts. Known for their magnetic live shows, the band have supported Tash Sultana and The Dreggs on tour, performed at triple j’s 50th Anniversary celebrations and appeared at major festivals including Spilt Milk Festival.
RUN IT BACK is out on Friday, June 12. South Summit bring their RUN IT BACK Tour to Metropolis Fremantle on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Tickets are on sale now from southsummitband.com
