Shannon Smith to unveil debut album Out of the Shadows

Award-winning WA singer-songwriter Shannon Smith will celebrate the release of his debut album, Out of the Shadows, with a launch show at Lyric’s Underground on Friday, May 2.

The album will be released physically on vinyl and CD, with a full digital streaming release to follow later in the year.

Country blues group Hope River Road will join Smith as special guests on the night.

The show will follow on from the release of Smith’s soul-stirring new single, Till I’m Home, which comes out on Thursday, May 1.

Blending Americana, folk-pop, and soul, the song contains influences from Ray LaMontagne, The Lumineers and Crowded House, while its lyrics capture themes of redemption and reconnection.

The song marks the second offering from Out of the Shadows following the release of Break Free last month.
