PRIDEFEST FILM FESTIVAL A Raine-bow palace

Raine Square
is set to host the third annual PrideFest Film Festival this month, in partnership with Palace Cinemas and PrideWA.

Between Monday, November 7 and Tuesday, November 20, the precinct will transform into a vibrant display of colour and culture in celebration of Western Australia’s Pride Month.

The PrideFest Film Festival will showcase four LGBTQ+ celebrated films across a six-day event with an exclusive Perth premiere screening of In From The Side, being touted as one of the year’s best films. The program also features exciting pre-film experiences including the special opening night with live music, entertainment, canapés and a drink on arrival all included in the ticket price.

Palace Cinemas Marketing Manager Kevin Leutenegger said they are excited to partner with Raine Square for another year. “Palace Cinemas prides itself on inclusivity, presenting films and the stories behind them to a broad range of new audiences. PrideFEST Film Festival is a standout in our events calendar, and we are proud to showcase the best of LGBTIQA+ content to the people of Perth” he said.

Raine Square are expanding this year’s celebrations throughout the entire precinct, including the illuminating and immersive Pride in Perth exhibition, which will honour local LGBTQ+ community and allies. MasterChef’s Brendan Pang, Paralympian Robyn Lambird and Big Brother contestant Hannah Campbell are some of many sharing personal tributes and placing the voices of pride centre stage.

Raine Square’s returning PrideFest brand ambassador and local Drag Queen icon, Cougar Morrison said she’s inspired to be a part of such a meaningful celebration. “Being yourself can sometimes feel like an act of rebellion but it’s less daunting with your community to help and together we can all be proud, 365 days of the year!” she said.

Raine Square retailers like Voodoo Coffee will be joining the Pride Month celebrations

During November, Raine Square visitors can also enjoy glittering stages alive with entertainment performed by local LGBTQ+ artists within the dining precinct, discover the exhibition and photo booths and be delighted with surprises at four pop-up giveaway events in Raine Lane.

Raine Square’s Marketing Manager, Daisy Milsom, said the precinct is excited to grow their support for Western Australia’s Pride Month with a more impactful and memorable celebration in 2022. “We hope to inspire our community through curiosity, modern thinking and uncommon experiences, creating unique and magnetic events that engage our visitors,” she said. “It’s amazing to see the rising popularity and appreciation of PrideFest and we absolutely love the bold colour palette that enlivens our precinct through November!”

Raine Square retailers have too shown their support with exclusive collaborations during Pride. Visitors can pick up rainbow lattes, colourful cocktails, strawberry tonicpressos and special scents from Furaibo, Voodoo Coffee, La Veen Coffee and Somic during the campaign period.
