Perth triplets Birdland spread their wings with debut EP and national tour

Local 17-year-old triplets Birdland have just announced the release of their debut EP, He Was Me, alongside their latest single, Hold Me Tight, showcasing the group’s knack for songwriting well beyond their years.

The EP chronicles the highs and lows of coming of age as it captures the excitement, longing and uncertainty of growing up, with its pop hooks, sharp lyricism and emotional honesty.

With previous singles Maybe Lately, No Trouble and Middle Ground, all achieving triple j airplay, the group are excited to take the EP on the road for a national tour.

Birdland will perform the EP live in full for the first time as they head out on the road, hitting Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Fremantle this July, with all shows accessible to all ages. Local shows take place at Wyola in Fremantle on Sunday, July 5 and The Y HQ in Leederville on Saturday, July 18.

“As triplets, a big part of our journey has been learning how to understand and find ourselves as individuals whilst still going through life together,” Birdland said. “These songs show those moments of self-reflection and growth, as well as simple things like people-watching, where you begin to understand yourself through observing others.”

Birdland’s debut EP He Was Me and latest single Hold Me Tight are available to stream now from birdland.lnk.to Birdland play Wyola on Sunday, July 5 and The Y HQ on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Presale tickets are available now from birdlandofficial.com
