Now celebrating 21 years in Melbourne (with 12,000 fervid supporters in 2014) and four years in Sydney, the Reclink Community Cup is being staged in Perth for the first time. Local musicians (The Bandgropers) and community media/music industry types (The Newshounds) will take to the field at Steel Blue Oval, Bassendean, on Sunday, August 30, in a game of “partly fun, partly serious hilarity.”
It’s all to raise money for Reclink, who support those experiencing mental illness, disability, substance abuse, homelessness, addiction and social and economic hardship. Tickets are $10 concession/RTRFM subscribers, $12 online presales from Oztix.com.au and $15 at the gate.
