Perth gets a wicked dose of Beetlejuice the Musical

Beetlejuice the Musical is set to haunt Perth this August, bringing its wicked humour, eye-popping spectacle and otherworldly heart to the stage at Crown Theatre.

Based on the 1988 Tim Burton film Beetlejuice, the story follows Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose life is turned upside down when she discovers her new home is occupied by a pair of newly deads and a mischievous demon with a serious love of stripes. Chaos, comedy and the afterlife collide in a production that has become a global fan favourite.

Leading the charge is Broadway star Andy Karl as the ghost with the most, steering this eight-time Tony Award-nominated hit through a whirlwind of irreverent laughs, jaw-dropping design and a soundtrack crafted by Australian composer Eddie Perfect.

Big, brash and surprisingly heartfelt, Beetlejuice is a high-voltage celebration of family, love, and squeezing every drop out of the time you’ve got, this side of the veil or the other.
