This July, Australia will once again welcome Nick Oliveri (Queens of the Stone Age/Kyuss) as he tours with Russian punk sensations Svetlanas. Perth fans are spoilt for choice with two shows, on Saturday, July 6 at Lucy’s Love Shack, followed by a second gig on Sunday, July 7 at Mojos Bar.
This will mark Oliveri’s third solo tour, performing songs from Death Acoustic as well as Kyuss favourites, and he will be accompanied by a variety of local Australian bands.
Understandably, Oliveri is excited to once again head down under, stating “Don’t miss Russia’s finest hardcore, Svetlanas. Also, I’m looking forward to seeing all of my mates (old and new). (I) don’t know who I’ll get the honour and great pleasure of smashing some old Kyuss & QOTSA tunes with this time around?! My last trip was unforgettable. Feels and sounds like home away from home. Get amongst it!”
This tour will also be Svetlanas’ first time in Australia. Known for their super high intensity, their Australian debut alongside Oliveri is a double bill to look forward to.
Most shows are on sale now, although individual support acts will be announced closer to the date.
