Opening the Fremantle Festival will be a play by the award-winning Tiffany Barton titled Metalhead. Based in a small mining town, Metalhead is part ghost story, part magic realism, when out of the desert walk two mysterious nomads who profess to have the answers to everyone’s problems. In short, it’s a play about magic, mining, music and fraught sexual politics to be performed at Victoria Hall, 179 High St, Fremantle from October 23-30 at 7pm nightly. Tickets $30, Concs $22 from http://events.ticketbooth.com.au/event/metalhead.
