Mark this in your diary. Maylands‘ newest bar, bistro and cafe establishment Lyric Lane is ready to officially launch their incredible, purpose-built live music basement venue, Lyric’s Underground (trust us we’ve been down there, you need to see this). Scheduled to take place on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16, the launch party events feature some awesome local live acts.
Friday, November 15 features The Money War, Big Orange, Lucy Peach with guitarist Luke Dux, Dolce Blue and NEW TALK’s Kiera Owen. Then the Saturday, November 16 event will feature local soul legends Odette Mercy & Her Soul Atomics (pictured), Hyclass, Material World Orchestra and Clauds.
Owned and operated by father and son team Michiel and Konrad de Ruyter, Lyric Lane took the family seven years to find the perfect location and a further two years to build. In the end, they created a two storey venue that is open from 7am to late, seven days a week.
Lyric aims to accommodate a range of music performances without fear of noise disturbance. Booked by Golden WAMi winner Luke Rinaldi (Badlands, The Basso), the venue had a soft opening on July 31, but are finally giving their underground music venue a proper celebration.
Lyric Underground Launch Parties will be happening at Lyric Lane on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16. Tickets are available on the Oztix website.
