Jack Gray dives in deep with Swimming In Jeans Album Tour
Queensland-born indie-pop star Jack Gray has announced a national tour in support of his debut album, Swimming in Jeans.
Following the first tour date in Auckland, the Swimming in Jeans Album Tour lands at The Y HQ in Leederville on Saturday, September 5, before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Following Gray’s signing with Island Records Australia last year, the tour coincides with the album’s release on Friday, September 11.
Swimming In Jeans is the title track and sixth single from the record, following Look At You, Tattoos (co-written with Peach PRC), Drive Her Home, Bluffin, and the first single Dumb Sh*t. Together the tracks have surpassed 1.5 million global streams, contributing to over 50 million streams across their catalogue.
Recorded largely over the last 12 months from songs written across the last three years, the album is produced and performed almost entirely by Gray from across multiple international studio locations.
“With this record I just wanted to put the blinders on and trust my gut,” Gray said of the record. The result is a unique mix of 2000s indie, pub rock, and new wave which also sees Gray at his rawest and most reflective, replaying a particularly poignant time with melancholic pedal steel balanced by honeyed vocal harmonies.
Now based in Los Angeles, the 28-year-old taught himself multiple instruments and began recording songs in high school. He has previously toured Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the US, South-east Asia, and Canada, supporting the likes of Tate McRae, Jeremy Zucker, Mahalia, Matt Corby, Maisie Peters and more.
Jack Gray plays at The Y HQ, Perth, on Saturday, September 5, 2026. To buy tickets or pre-order the album, head to jackgrayofficial.com
