With a cast of Perth’s finest up-and-coming folk musicians, Folk In The Garden will brings the folk music scene to Port Beach Garden Bar on Sunday, October 13.
Headlining the event are the alt-country group The Little Lord Street Band (pictured). Last year saw huge successes for the five-piece band who had won a WAM award for Best Country Act, showed at Bigsound and embarked on a nation-wide tour in support of their third EP. This year, the band have released their newest track Frankie’s Back in Town which will be featured in their upcoming, long-awaited debut album.
The main stage will also host bands at the frontier of the Perth folk scene, including Stoney Joe, Simone & Girlfunkle, The Steve Hensby Band, The Wine-Dark Sea and Siobhan Cotchin (with band). A second, smaller stage will also be set up to feature solo and/or stripped back sets from the likes of Catherine Traicos, Wayward Johnson, Elk Bell, Leah Grant, Dharshini Dee Muru and Alexis Maree.
