FANNY LUMSDEN Rocking the halls

ARIA and 8 x Golden Guitar Winner Fanny Lumsden will bring her eighth annual Country Halls Tour to Western Australia in June, with shows announced for Karratha, Fremantle, Coorow, Mukinbudin and Varley.

The shows will also feature Lumsden’s wildly talented band The Prawn Stars, special guests, totem tennis, dad jokes, stories and songs. Local artists and school groups will open the nights proceedings while delicious food will be catered for by local community groups.

Despite having everything cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, Tooma NSW based artist Fanny Lumsden’s third album fallow managed to take out the ARIA Country Album of the Year and 5x Golden Guitar awards including Album of the Year and Female Artist of the year.

“After a year off the road, we are just so excited to bring the halls to life once more and get out and see people again and share songs and stories in the bush. The Country Halls Tour is my favourite way to tour and see the country and we have a ripper show planned,” Fanny Lumsden said.

The Country Halls tour originated in 2012 with three shows in halls in the Riverina raising money for BLAZEAID. By the end of this tour the Country Halls Tour will have visited over 180 halls throughout regional Australia.

Fanny Lumsden’s Country Halls Tour hits Red Dirt CMF, Karratha on Saturday, June 5; Duke of George Hotel, Fremantle on Thursday, June 10; Coorow Hall, Coorow on Friday, June 11; Mukinbudin Memorial Hall, Mukinbudin on Saturday, June 12; and Varley & Districts Hall, Varley on Sunday, June 13.
