Fairbridge Festival rekindles community spirit with 2026 return

After its third year of cancellation in 2024, Fairbridge Festival is set to return in 2026, hitting Fairbridge Village near Pinjarra from Friday, April 17, to Sunday, April 19.

The family-friendly festival, hosted by FolkWorld, is a celebration of folk music, dance, and community. The event will return to its roots amidst the trees and farmland of the historic Fairbridge Village—a location that has been home to the festival for over two decades.

Across the weekend, attendees can enjoy live music from across Australia and beyond, with at least one international and one interstate artist already confirmed.

Additionally, attendees can expect workshops, dance performances, youth and children’s programs, local food and artisan stalls. The festival also offers camping and cottage bed accommodation options.

“I’m delighted with the passion and enthusiasm I’m hearing from countless friends and supporters who are thrilled to hear that we’re back,” FolkWorld Inc. Committee Chair Steve Barnes said. “The band is back together, and we’re planning great things.”

Since its inception in 1993, the festival has become a staple event in WA’s cultural landscape, with its signature three-festivals-in-one format aimed at kids, youth and adults alike.

After the pandemic and venue issues led to the festival’s cancellation from 2022 to 2024, this year the team behind Fairbridge Festival hosted The Gathering, a community initiative aimed at ensuring the popular folk festival’s return in 2026.

Fairbridge Festival hits Fairbridge Village from Friday, April 17, to Sunday, April 19, 2026. Tickets are on sale Sunday, November 23, 2025, from trybooking.com
