Cosmic Psychos go another round with new record and national tour
Australian punk rock duo Cosmic Psychos have announced their twelfth studio album, I Really Like Beer, alongside news of a massive regional Australia tour.
Recorded to tape with Paul Maybury at Secret Location Studios, the new album is set for release on Friday, November 7, via Subway Records, with Cosmic Psychos’s classic raw, tongue-in-cheek and boisterous sound. The first track, I Like Beer, is a humorous love letter from bass player and singer Ross Knight to his “true love,” with a hilarious music video to match. Check it out below.
“We made a record about beer, so now we’re going to play it in as many pubs as possible. Simple,” says Knight.
To mark the album release, Cosmic Psychos’s I Really Like Beer Tour will hit forty regional locations across Australia. The tour includes WA shows at The River in Margaret River on Wednesday, November 26; Rosemount Hotel on Thursday, November 26; and Indian Ocean Hotel on Friday, November 28.
The band will be joined on drums by Mudhoney and Nirvana’s Dan Peters for the first leg and Dune Rats’ BC Michaels on the second stretch.
Amidst news of the new album and tour, Knight also recently launched a weekly podcast, How Ya Goin’?. The show features honest conversations with some of the biggest names in music, including Eamon Sandwith (The Chats), Donita Sparks (L7), Tim Rogers (You Am I), Scarlet McKahey (Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers) and more.
Cosmic Psychos’s album, I Really Like Beer, is out Friday, November 7, 2025. Cosmic Psychos will bring their I Really Like Beer Tour to The River in Margaret River on Wednesday, November 26; Rosemount Hotel on Thursday, November 26; and Indian Ocean Hotel on Friday, November 28, 2025.
