RTRFM brings back local music series Courtyard Club for 2025
The Arts and Culture Trust and RTRFM have announced the Courtyard Club‘s 2025 return, with a free seven-week concert series taking place every Friday evening from Friday, October 31, to Friday, December 12, in the State Theatre Centre Courtyard of WA.
This year marks the twelfth year Courtyard Club has been bringing live, local music into the heart of Northbridge.
RTRFM DJ Vishnu is set to host the series, with his Friday Drivetime live set featuring performances by local bands and DJs.
It all kicks off on Friday, October 31, from 5pm, as RTRFM teams up with the Perth International Jazz Festival and presents Virgo Nightmare, featuring Talya Valenti, Miella Mondlane, POW! and Tanaya Harper, plus new upstarts Blu Flamingo, followed by DJ KL from RTRFM’s Ambient Zone.
Throughout the series, attendees can expect to hear the soulful and powerful voice of Alexia Parenzee, the alt indie of Sascha Ion and the Elements, the country twang of The Little Lord Street Band, the pop magic of Little Guilt, the shoegaze wonder of Teen Angst, the polka party of The Witchy Djypsies and the soul and funk of the Steve Hensby Band.
Also, on Friday, December 5, RTRFM celebrates 20 years of post-rock show Posted, with sets from Flood and Selfless Orchestra, plus a takeover by the Posted crew.
Each live performance will be followed by sets from some of the best DJs in town, including Elle Cee (Out To Lunch), Jas Hughes (Drivetime), Conor Levy (Up Late), Sliding Doors (The Rounds) and Em and Lee Vixen (Drivetime).
The Courtyard Club is a family-friendly event, with a licensed bar for those after-work drinks.
RTRFM’s Courtyard Club hits the State Theatre Centre Courtyard of WA from Friday, 31 October, to Friday, December 12, 2025. For more info, head to rtrfm.com.au
