Bogan Literature sink their fangs into reimagining of Dracula

Award-winning local team Bogan Literature are back with a new show, Dracula, hitting the Royale Theatre, Northbridge, from Thursday, September 10, to Sunday, September 20.

The show reimagines Bram Stoker’s classic tale of Dracula, set in regional Western Australia. As Dracula awakens in his castle in search of a more accommodating environment, he decides the regional town of Narrogin will be the right place to restart his cycle of consumption.

Dracula is the latest creation from BS Productions, the local group that have been bringing acclaimed ‘bogan’ adaptations of Shakespeare classics to stages since 2016. The team expanded their repertoire into Bogan Literature in 2023 and have so far reimagined high-class classics like Pride & Prejudice and A Christmas Carol into comedy shows.

Bogan Literature Presents: Dracula hits the Royale Theatre from Thursday, September 10 to Sunday, September 20, 2026. Tickets are on sale now from megatix.com.au
