Vince Staples returns to Australia on Cry Baby Tour

US hip hop heavyweight Vince Staples will return to Australia this summer on his Cry Baby Tour, hitting Ice Cream Factory, Northbridge, on Saturday, January 2.

The tour kicks off in Perth before heading to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

These headline shows mark his first in Australia since 2018 and will give fans the chance to catch Staples at venues across the country following his sold-out headlining performance at Beyond the Valley in December.

Having recently released his ninth album, Cry Baby, in June, Staples is set to bring the songs from the record on the road, showcasing new outward-facing social commentary pieces such as Blackberry Marmalade, White Flag and Cotton.

Beyond the lyrics and subject matter, Cry Baby signals a musical and sonic shift for the artist. Staples built each track around live instrumentation, and the result is a dynamic, confrontational body of work.
