Art Ball is back in 2017, this Saturday, May 20 from 7pm at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. After selling out in its inaugural year this weekend’s event promises to bigger and better featuring 80s inspired pop favourites Client Liaison bringing the party to the highest of heights. The line up also features 2016 ARIA award-winning Best Breakthrough Artist Montaigne fresh from blowing audiences away at Groovin the Moo in Bunbury. You can also catch Papua New Guinea-born future-soul sensation NGAIIRE and the finest of rhymes courtesy of former WAM Song of the Year winner Mathas.
AMP Capital and VOGUE Australia have got behind the event that is an important fundraising initiative for the AGWA Foundation. The evening’s theme will focus on the popular exhibition The Rise of Sneaker Culture which is running at the Art Gallery of Western Australia from May 13 to September 14 this year.
There will also be a host of other weird and wonderful things to do and see, including a virtual reality display, nude life drawing and live tattoo art throughout the State Art Collection. You can also catch special performances from WA Symphony Orchestra Chorus, WA Opera, breakdancers and aerial performers as well as all of AGWA’s amazing international exhibitions.
