Unless you’re living under a rock, you’ll know by now that Melburnian master of soul, Chet Faker, took out the vaunted triple j Hottest 100 crown for 2015 with his seductive tune, Talk is Cheap. This year’s poll saw a record 2,099,077 votes cast from 188 countries, but the highest Australian contingent to date made the chart – 59 songs, way ahead of the 15 from the US. Some 35 artists made their Hottest 100 debuts, including FKA Twigs, Future Islands and Banks.
