2016 marks the 25th anniversary season of the Black Swan State Theatre Company, and the occasion will be well and truly marked by a killer series of stage productions, including three world premieres, five new Australian plays, three WA premieres, and more.
The season begins with LOADED: A Double Bill Of New Plays, which features Girl Shut Your Mouth by Gita Bezard and Will O’Mahony’s Tonsils + Tweezers. Then follows Picnic At Hanging Rock, directed by Matthew Lutton; the WA premiere of Angels In America; A Perfect Specimen by Nathaniel Moncrief; Brecht’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle, staged in collaboration with the National Theatre of China; the Australian premiere of the satirical Clinton: The Musical; and Justin Fleming’s adaptation of Moliere’s Tartuffe.
