Fairbridge Fest have announced the winners of their Act-Belong-Commit Fairbridge Festival Quest youth songwriting competition, as well as announcing their Backlot program for this year’s festival. Fairbridge will be taking place from Friday, April 20 till Sunday, April 22 at Fairbridge Village in Pinjarra.
A mix of local and international acts are set to play the Backlot stage at this year’s festival, including favourites Carla Geneve (pictured) and Jacob Diamond, plus you can also expect to see Karin Page, Harry Jakamarra, Noah Dillion and international act Ganglions from the UK among others.
The winners of the Act-Belong-Commit Fairbridge Festival Quest youth songwriting competition were also announced this week, with winners being decided based on their songwriting and their performance. Romy Bruinsma won for song craft in age category 12-15, whilst Saahli-Jewel Kukulj-Hetherington won for her performance of her song Jump. In the 16-18 age category, Lachy John won for song craft, with his song titled The Stockman’s Grandson, and Brooke Bugeja won for performance. All the winners will also be performing on the Backlot Stage.
