Pixies celebrate fan favourite albums on Australian tour

Pixies have announced a 2025 national tour, which will see the alt-rock legends perform two consecutive nights in four major Australian cities.

On the first night, the band will play fan favourite albums, 1990’s Bossanova and 1991 follow-up Trompe Le Monde in their entirety, while on the second night they will perform a career-spanning set and songs from their new album The Night The Zombies Came.

The tour kicks off at Fremantle Prison on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9, 2025, followed by performances in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1986, Pixies are often acclaimed as one of the most influential alternative bands of the late 80s, garnering extraordinary critical and popular acclaim. After five genre-defining studio albums, Pixies disbanded in 1993. The tide turned in 2004 when the band reunited and began touring, playing to sell-out crowds around the world, including their first-ever Australian performances in 2007.

This will be Pixies’ first visit to Western Australia since 2022, where they performed another two classic albums in full—Come On Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa—at Fremantle Arts Centre.

Pixies play Fremantle Prison on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9, 2025. Tickets are on sale Tuesday, November 26 from pixiesmusic.com
