Running Touch has announced news of a national tour this year in support of his debut album Carmine, which is due for release Friday, May 6, 2022.
The Carmine Australian Tour kicks off in Melbourne and hits Canberra, Newcastle, Brisbane, Hobart and Sydney with a Perth date lined up at Astor Theatre on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
Current single Come With Me has been well received by fans and critics alike, with 330k streams already, a spot add on triple j and praise from NME Australia, Life Without Andy, Music Feeds and more.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Running Touch had already made a name for himself in Australian music before venturing into solo territory, primarily through Ocean Grove, the iconic hardcore band he founded when he was 13, and avant-garde techno group Adult Art Club.
From the indie-pop of opener Juno to the lilting reggae of Stay to Always Wanted You’s electro beat, Running Touch has pushed further than sublime, dance floor-ready electronic music on this release. Carmine represents the beginning of a new chapter for the young artist: the advent of Running Touch’s second life as a creator of considered, heart-rending electronic music.
Running Touch’s Carmine is out Friday, May 6, 2022. Running Touch plays Astor Theatre on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Tickets are on sale Friday, March 18 from untitledgroup.com.au
