WAMFEST 2019 First batch of artists has landed

One of the biggest events on the Western Australian music calendar, WAMFest, is set to return in 2019 with a series of live showcases and performances by local artists across metro and regional areas of WA. This week WAM has announced the first batch of artists you can catch this year on the weekend of Friday, November 1 and Saturday November 2.

Spanning across two dates, the free-entry festival features a carefully curated line-up of Western Australia’s most exciting, diverse and progressive contemporary original musicians. Showcasing out of venues and outdoor stages in the city hub and Northbridge, the two-day event invites the public and industry representatives to explore, discover and celebrate the talent of Western Australia.

Many of the city hub venues of previous years are set to feature again, including The Sewing Room, Amplifier, Capitol, Holmes & Co, Wesley Church, Lucy’s Love Shack and Cheeky Sparrow. Northbridge will once again be right in the thick of the action, with shows at The Bird, Nevermind Smallclub, Jack Rabbit Slims, Badlands, Hen House Live, James Street Bar and The Boston. Perth Cultural Centre, State Theatre Courtyard and Northbridge Piazza will play home to outdoor and all-ages stages providing a space for all members of the community.

WAMFest is a central part of WAM Festival 2019, an annual contemporary music event that aims to celebrate, showcase and develop West Australian artists and industry members. The program also includes the two day WA Music Conference (WAMCon) and the WA Music Awards (WAMAwards).
