One year ago an incredible bunch of people in the Perth music industry came together to put on a massive fundraiser at the Rosemount Hotel for the east coast bushfires. Sadly, 12 months later it’s Perth’s turn.
With the ticket income that Perth events have lost over the past two weeks due to COVID lockdowns, and with current event restrictions subject to change, another live fundraiser just wasn’t going to work as it did last year.
Instead, in an initiative led by Western Australian music manager Kelsie Miller (Great Gable, The Money War), a group of Perth bands have joined forces for a new edition of With Love From WA. This year it comes in the form of a massive merch auction happening on Bandcamp from 7am on Friday, February 19, with 100% of proceeds donated to the victims of the 2021 Perth bushfires.
Merch has been generously donated by Airline Food, Demon Days, Drapht, Dulcie, Ghost Care, Grace Barbe, Great Gable, Jamilla, Joan & The Giants, Noah Dillon, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Sly Withers, Supathick, Superego, The Money War and more.
The link to purchase merch will be posted on the event Facebook page on the day. Those that want to help are encouraged to spread the word as the WA music community rallies together for this very important cause.
