This November, Perth and its surroundings will play host to a collection of international and local chefs, wine experts, and musicians as part of the Western Australia Gourmet Escape. Highlighting WA’s produce, the festival is bigger than ever this year with a program of over 50 events over the 10 days. The Swan Valley and Perth will see the festival from Friday, November 8 until Thursday, November 14, after which it will run in the Margaret River region until Sunday, November 17.
International culinary guests across the event include David Chang, Marco Pierre White, Danny Bowien, Amanda Cohen, Pierre Koffmann, Carlo Cracco, Garima Arora, Ivan Brehm, and Selassie Atadika.
Plus there’s a strong music focus as part of the new Swan Valley programming. The line up includes The Rubens, UK entertainer DJ BBQ (Christian Stevenson), singer songwriter Fergus James, and Aussie chef & DJ Andrew Levins. WA musos include Odette Mercy and Her Soul Atomics, Abbe May, Web Rumors and Carla Geneve. For kids there’ll also be dirtgirl and her band Mother Earth, and Justine Clarke.
The festival will open at Sandalford Winery with the family-friendly food and music event Gourmet Feast in the Valley, and will include masterclasses from visiting chefs, food trucks, live music, and children’s entertainers.
