Unforgettable Days ahead for Perth collective The Tortured Souls
Perth collective The Tortured Souls will present and perform a one-night-only concert at Freo.Social on Thursday, November 26.
The show celebrates the launch of their debut album, Unforgettable Days, due to be released Friday, November 27.
Led by singer-songwriter Justin Davies, The Tortured Souls bring together classic pop, soulful rock, country and orchestral arrangements, with deeply personal songwriting at its heart.
Produced by two-time GRAMMY-nominated producer and engineer Rob Grant (Tame Impala, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Josh Homme) at Perth’s renowned Poons Head Studio, Unforgettable Days draws on the warmth of vintage recording techniques and the talents of an exceptional cast of local musicians.
For the performance, The Tortured Souls’ lead vocalist Justin Davies will be joined by Malcolm Clark (drums, The Sleepy Jackson), Nigel Harford (bass), Tony Bourke (piano and Hammond organ, Eskimo Joe and The Waifs) and Sorcha Albuquerque (guitar).
Special guest appearances will include Jay Cortez (guitar), Craig Weighell (guitar) and Rachael Aquilina (violin), bringing the live ensemble to eight musicians.
Fans can expect to hear the album’s first three singles, Unforgettable Days, No Tomorrows and Gold-Lined Melancholy live on stage, showcasing the record’s range from sweeping piano and strings to cinematic arrangements.

The concert will also bring together two of Australia’s most celebrated live acts, with NSW singer-songwriter Kim Churchill and Adelaide band The Audreys joining The Tortured Souls for the night.
“When we started putting this night together, we wanted it to be about more than just launching our album,” said vocalist Davies. “Having Kim Churchill and The Audreys on the bill, alongside this incredible group of WA musicians, makes it a pretty special occasion. It’s going to be a great night of music.”
In a departure from traditional concert ticketing, the purchase of a limited-edition vinyl pressing of Unforgettable Days includes show admission. For $45, audiences receive the album on vinyl, shipping included, plus an entry for one person, with only 500 packages available.
“We loved the idea of doing something a bit different,” Davies added. “Instead of just buying a ticket, you get a record to take home as well. It’s a way of sharing the album and giving people something tangible to remember the night by.”
The Tortured Souls launch their debut album Unforgettable Days alongside Kim Churchill and The Audreys at Freo.Social on Thursday, November 26, 2026. Unforgettable Days is out on Friday, November 27. Ticket and vinyl packages are available now from thetorturedsouls.net
