UK pop icon Kim Wilde celebrates Closer with a milestone national tour

UK pop icon Kim Wilde is set to return to Australia this year, with her Closer Tour hitting Astor Theatre on Wednesday, November 18.

The artist is also set to play shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Adelaide, Sydney, and Canberra. The upcoming tour marks a significant milestone in the pop artist’s long and distinguished career, celebrating her fifteenth studio album, Closer, released Friday, January 31, 2025.

Fans can expect to hear new tracks from Wilde’s Closer album, such as Trail of Destruction, Midnight Train, and Love Is Love, as well as fan-favourite hits including Kids in America, Chequered Love, and You Keep Me Hangin’ On. 

Kim Wilde has sold over 30 million records globally. In 1983, she received the Brit Award for Best British Female Solo Artist. Wilde has also appeared at multiple festivals across her career, including Rewind Festival, Download Festival and Donauinsel Festival, and has shared stages with Michael Jackson and David Bowie.
