Tropical Fuck Storm hit the road for Fairyland Codex national tour
Tropical Fuck Storm are hitting the road in support of their fourth album, Fairyland Codex, with a Perth show lined up at The Rechabite on Friday, November 14.
The national tour announcement coincides with the release of their new single, Teeth Marché, from the upcoming album, which is out on Friday, June 20.
The accompanying new music video, directed by Alexandra Millen, is a kaleidoscopic adventure down at the pool, which has a retro, new wave cinematic flair featuring feminist water ballerinas The Clamms and layered animation from frequent collaborator Nespy 5 euro.
Teeth Marché is another taste of the upcoming record following on from previous singles Goon Show, Bloodsport and Dunning Kruger’s Loser Cruiser.
“Two languages jammed together, clutching at sense like the rest of the world,” says TFS’ Erica Dunn of the new track. “Marché: market, marché: walk, teeth: les dents, marcia marcia marcia: the Brady bunch. The Teeth Market, the Teeth Walk, our attempt at a laid back wonky jam which contemplates a vision of plunder that is played out in romance, in a climate emergency, in murderous political zeniths—those who take, take, take, lick their lips and want more.”
Recorded with co-producer Michael Beach at Dodgy Brothers studio in Nagambie, TFS say the songs on Fairyland Codex will immerse listeners “in the chaos of a fateful landslide, picking out the characters that litter the impending collapse of society.”
Following the run of national dates, Tropical Fuck Storm are gearing up for a world tour over the next year, including stops at End of the Road Festival and Manchester Psych Fest, and plans to perform as part of the Ice Cream Floats Cruise presented by Modest Mouse in early 2026.
Tropical Fuck Storm hit The Rechabite on Friday, November 14, 2025. Tickets are on sale now from tickets.oztix.com.au
