Tool confirm Perth return with December headline show

Tool are set to make their long-awaited return to Perth this year, announcing a headline show at RAC Arena on Tuesday, December 2.

The announcement comes alongside news of another show at Adelaide Entertainment Centre, in addition to the band’s appearances at Good Things Festival in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Byron Bay rock outfit Headsend join Tool as special guests for both shows, fresh off the release of their debut single, Stove.

Known for their boundary-pushing visuals, epic live production and world-renowned musicianship, Tool are hailed as one of the most powerful live experiences in rock.

Since forming in 1990, the four-piece—Danny Carey (drums), Justin Chancellor (bass), Adam Jones (guitar) and Maynard James Keenan (vocals)—have stood at the forefront of heavy music innovation. Across five acclaimed studio albums—Undertow (1993), Ænima (1996), Lateralus (2001), 10,000 Days (2006) and their most recent, Fear Inoculum (2019)—Tool have continually expanded the boundaries of rock with their intricate, hypnotic soundscapes.

Tool last performed in Perth during their Fear Inoculum tour in 2020, which we praised as “a spectacular aural, visual show” in our 10/10 review.

Tool play RAC Arena on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Tickets are on sale Tuesday, October 7, from frontiertouring.com
