Things just got reel: Jimmy Rees is back on tour in 2025

Comedian and entertainer Jimmy Rees is set to return to Perth in 2025, bringing his new live show, In Reel Life, to Riverside Theatre on Saturday, November 22.

Running across Australia and New Zealand from October through December, the In Reel Life tour promises all-new content, featuring Rees’ trademark characters, social commentary and offbeat humour.

The tour follows a string of sold-out performances over the past three years, including Rees’ Meanwhile In Australia (2022), Not That Kinda Viral (2023), and Let’s Get Regional (2024), which collectively drew more than 100,000 fans across the country.

“I’m psyched to be touring my brand-new live show In Reel Life around Australia and also heading to New Zealand for the very first time!” Rees said upon revealing the tour news.

Rees first rose to fame as Jimmy Giggle on the ABC’s long-running children’s show Giggle & Hoot before transitioning into mainstream comedy. His satirical online videos during the pandemic saw his social media following skyrocket to over four million.

Since then, one of Rees’ previous tours has been turned into a Binge Original special, and his debut adult book, The Guy Who Decides, became a bestseller. In 2024, he was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his contributions to comedy and charity.
