Thelma Plum announces Freo Arts Centre performance

Thelma Plum is set to tour the country this October and November in support of her new album, I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back.

The nationwide tour arrives in Western Australia for a show at Fremantle Arts Centre on Saturday, November 2.

Due for release on Friday, October 18, the deeply personal and emotionally complicated album is the result of five years of writing, recording, and reflecting in studios around the world. The record is said to be full of stories of heartbreak, positive affirmation—and in what has become a signature sideline for the singer songwriter—pop songs about dogs.

“This record has been a long time in the making,” Thelma Plum said upon announcing the news. “It was created with love, heartache, forgiveness and care in mind. It’s personal and kind of like I’m sharing pages from my diary with you, but it’s time for it to fly free.”

On the tour, Plum added, “It seems like forever since I did a national headline tour, but with a brand new album to choose songs from, the band and I are putting together a whole new show to play in these beautiful rooms. Can’t wait to show you all!”

Melbourne alternative folk band The Slingers will support Plum on all shows except Adelaide, while both Miss Kaninna and Banjo Lucia will also join her for the Fremantle show.

Thelma Plum’s new album I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back is out on Friday, October 18, 2024. The album tour hits Fremantle Arts Centre on Saturday, November 2. Tickets are on sale Friday, August 30 from handsometours.com
