The Saints ’73-’78 take new live album on the road for Australian tour

The Saints ’73-’78 have announced a national Australian tour, with a Perth show lined up for Astor Theatre on Tuesday, February 2.

The tour follows on from an overseas jaunt in late 2025, which saw founding members Ed Kuepper and Ivor Hay playing as The Saints to American, Swedish and German audiences for the first time and in the UK for the first time since 1978.

To accompany the Australian shows is a brand new live album, LIVE AT CLUB ’76, recorded in September 1976 at the band’s famed Petrie Terrace rehearsal space and ad hoc venue. Recorded to cassette, the 15-track performance features much of their debut album (I’m) Stranded, a slew of tracks that would end up on follow-up record Eternally Yours and a multitude of covers.

It will be the first time The Saints ’73-’78 have performed in Perth since they hit Freo.Social in 2024 celebrating the release of a vinyl box set of their classic 1977 record (I’m) Stranded.
