The new musical stage adaptation of Winnie the Pooh arrives in WA

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Stage Adaptation has made its way to Western Australia following performances on the east coast and New Zealand.

The show hits Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Friday, August 25 and Saturday, August 26; and Regal Theatre from Thursday, August 31 to Sunday, September 3.

In a stage musical adaptation featuring life-size puppetry, Australian-American creator Jonathan Rockefeller brings to life the iconic characters of Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robinson and their best friends Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Owl and Tigger.

“The music, the spectacular life-size puppets, and the charming performances are the perfect way to introduce (or re-introduce) audiences to live theatre, and this is a must-see show for Winnie the Pooh fans,” said Jonathan Rockefeller. “We are excited to bring the Hundred Acre Wood to Australia so that audiences of all ages can join us for this heartwarming production.”

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Stage Adaptation was nominated for Drama Desk Awards and OBA Awards for Best Puppetry and Best Family Show.
