To celebrate a year since re-opening under it’s new name, Fremantle live music venue The Aardvark has announced an anniversary party to end all anniversary parties – The Aardvark Birthday Weekender. The celebration runs for three nights from Friday, July 5 to Sunday, July 7, featuring great local acts hand picked from the most memorable shows they have had during the year.
Headliners include soul-grime-crooners Butter, triple j favourites Sly Withers, and Freo’s favourite politically conscious big band party machine, Superego (pictured above).
They’ll be joined by a cast of amazing talent over the weekend including Adrian Dzvuke, Axe Girl, Cellophane, Cuss, Didion’s Bible, Gazey, Hyclass, Izatang, Jamilla, Moth, Tether and Yomi Ship.
In addition to the live music, there will be vinyl DJs all night every night, exclusive drink specials, giveaways galore and dive bar eats ‘n’ grease to keep the party people going for three days straight.
The Aardvark Birthday Weekender goes down at The Aardvark from Friday, July 5 to Sunday, July 7. Tickets are on sale now with limited three day passes available.
