For three nights, the streets, balconies, bars and restaurants of Subiaco will be taken over by jazz musicians for the Subiaco Lounge Series, happening from Thursday, October 3 to Saturday, October 5.
The free event features 15 different acts, all of whom will be bringing different musical styles to the town of Subiaco. Acts include: Penny King (pictured above); vintage blues group The Vibrolators, who have played alongside the likes of Kate Ceberano and The Black Sorrows; clarinet and trumpet duo Thomas Hamilton-Stone Jazz Duo; the Gumnuts Quartet; and bringing the RnB, soul and funk music is Perth-based singer/songwriter Jordan Anthony Duo.
The only priced performance is the one-off show Both Sides Now: The Music of Joni Mitchell. Presented by WA jazz vocalist Penny King, accompanied by her band, the tribute show will be taking place at the Subiaco Hotel.
Subiaco Lounge Series takes place throughout Subiaco from Thursday October 3 to Saturday October 5. Tickets and program available on the SeeSubiaco website.
