It’s that time of year again when you hear the words “six weeks til Christmas” sends a slight chill down your spine. You soon realise you’ve not done any Christmas shopping and the possibility of some tension at Christmas lunch, however, good news lays ahead. Southbound HQ have announced some final additions to this year’s Southbound Festival which kicks off Dec 27 and finishing on Dec 29; added to the line-up include Benson, Boston Switch, Olympia and POW! Negro.
More good news, thanks to the return of the Stagebound Competition, WA’s very own The Money War have taken out this years Unearthed spot, picked from Triple J’s Unearthed which gives unsigned artist a chance to make it big. One unearthed spot still remains and artists are encouraged to have their submissions to Southbound HQ by Wednesday, November 16 by 4PM.
Festival organisers have announced new locked in the new dates for Southbound, between Christmas and New Year’s, for this year and years to come. This was due to last year’s festival been cancelled due to the devastating fires that ripped through the South West.
