Show your local station some love as RTRFM‘s Radio Love Month returns

RTRFM’s Radio Love Month returns this month, as the station invites the public to show them some love with their latest fundraiser to help keep the community radio station on the air for another year.

Radio Love Month is an annual event run by RTRFM in which donations help to keep the radio station running 24/7 all year round.

Donations of any size are welcome, with a donation of $50 covering the cost of a replacement stylus for the record players, and $250 paying for a new pair of studio headphones.

“We need to fundraise about $400,000 annually from the community to cover part of our operating expenses,” says RTRFM general manager Simon Miraudo. “But this isn’t a burden, it’s a blessing—it’s precisely this level of listener support that allows us to maintain our independence, meaning we can continue to platform WA artists, champion alternative music, and provide a space for volunteer voices you won’t hear on commercial radio.”

Next year, RTRFM celebrates fifty years on air.
