Ruby Fields celebrates Small Achievements with new album, single, and tour
Sydney indie singer-songwriter Ruby Fields has announced a new single, album and national tour, with her Small Achievements Tour heading down under this May.
Fields is set to celebrate the release of her sophomore album, Small Achievements, on Friday, April 24, with a national tour, hitting Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide before wrapping up the tour at Freo.Social on Saturday, May 16.
Ruby Fields will be joined onstage by Sydney punk four-piece Mac The Knife and local indie pop four-piece smol fish. Fans can expect to hear Fields’ much-loved hits such as Dinosaurs, P Plates and Pretty Grim. They can also get a taste of the upcoming album with her new single, Muscle, released earlier this week, and tracks 92 Purebred, Half the Laugh and Tacklebox.
Small Achievements expands on Fields’ signature sound with deeper themes and guitar-driven production layered with raw, anthemic hooks and moments of stripped-back vulnerability, reflecting the last four years of Fields’ life in NSW’s Northern Rivers.
Releasing her debut EP Your Dad’s Opinion for Dinner in 2018, Ruby Fields has since become known for her catchy indie-rock riffs and self-aware, cutting lyrics. She released her second album, Been Doin’ It for a Bit, in 2021, and it debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart. The album also received a J Award nomination for ‘Australian Album of the Year’, as well as Rolling Stone’s ‘Best Record’. Fields has also secured festival slots at Splendour In The Grass, Laneway Festival and Party In The Paddock.
Ruby Fields’ Small Achievements is out Friday, April 24, 2026. The Small Achievements Tour hits Freo.Social on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Tickets are on sale Friday, March 6, from destroyalllines.com
