RTRFM Welcome new General Manager

RTRFM
has announced the appointment of Karen Lee as the station’s new General Manager.

Lee comes to the station with many years of experience in creative industries working in the private, not-for-profit, and public sectors across music touring and events, arts and community projects, and business management. Lee has been a long standing advocate for artists’ rights and local culture.

Taking the helm as the oldest FM station in the state enters its 42nd year, Lee is looking forward to embracing the challenges and opportunities that are emerging in the music and arts sectors.

“We’re living in such a dynamic and invigorating time for audio content makers, story- tellers, and music selectors,” says Lee. “I’m determined to make sure that RTRFM and all the people who give the station its unique identity and quality can capitalise on the many opportunities available. With the right strategy, innovation, and partners, all our rich and varied local action can reach global audiences and be part of a vibrant international exchange of stories, sounds, and ideas. What a terrific time to be taking the helm!”.

Lee will officially take over as General Manager in the new year replacing Stu MacLeod who stepped down in November to take a role with Fairbridge Festival.
