Rooftop Movies returns for a dazzling new season this summer
Perth’s favourite inner-city open-air cinema, Rooftop Movies, is set to return with a new look this summer, transforming the Roe Street Carpark Rooftop into a “disco cinema dreamscape.”
The season kicked off with an exclusive premiere screening of the musical drama Kiss of the Spider Woman on Wednesday night and runs from now until Sunday, March 22, 2026.
Audiences can look forward to a superb lineup of cinematic delights, including cult classics and blockbuster hits, along with a special series of events this summer, including Pre-Loved Markets and the return of Rooftop Yoga.
This year, audiences will also be treated to a rotating roster of craft beer takeovers, WA wines and spirits, and a new Mexican street eats menu. Audiences can enjoy bites from Burrito With a Chance of Nachos, Candy Bar classics, and a roster of local brews from Beerfarm, Lucky Bay Brewing, and Phat Brew Co.
“Team ARTRAGE, the powerhouse behind Fringe World Festival, are really putting on a show this season,” said Managing Producer Courtney Meagher. “Alongside the Disco Cactus vibe refresh, we’re thrilled to introduce a new Couples Swings seating option, perfect for date night, launch discounted tickets with Thrifty Thursdays, and introduce new special events like the Pre-Loved Markets. After fourteen years of raising the roof, this season is shaping up to be the most thrilling yet.”
Rooftop Movies takes over the Roe Street Carpark Rooftop from Wednesday, October 29, to Sunday, March 22, 2026. For tickets and the full program, visit rooftopmovies.com
