Rise Against join forces with Dropkick Murphys for Australian tour
Chicago punk band Rise Against have announced an Australian tour. Kicking off in Melbourne, the tour hits New South Wales, Brisbane, and Sydney before making its final stop at Red Hill Auditorium on Friday, December 4.
The four-piece will be joined alongside Boston rock ‘n’ rollers Dropkick Murphys for all tour dates.
It marks the Rise Against’s first headline show in Perth since they played at HBF Stadium (now Perth HPC) in 2018. Fans can expect to hear hits from their 2025 album, Ricochet, such as Nod, I Want It All, and Ricochet, as well as older favourites, including Architects, Help Is on the Way and Satellite.
Formed in 1999, Rise Against are known for their unique blend of melodic hardcore and punk rock. Led by vocalist Tim McIlrath, the band are known for their unapologetic social commentary, with lyrics containing themes of politics, animal rights, humanitarianism and environmentalism.
The band’s 2006 album The Sufferer & the Witness and 2008 album Appeal to Reason have been RIAA-certified Platinum, while their 2004 major label debut, Siren Song of the Counter Culture, has been RIAA-certified Gold. The band has shared the stage with big international acts like Foo Fighters and blink-182 and performed at major festivals like Big Day Out, Vans Warped Tour and Download Festival.

Formed in 1996 and co-led by vocalists Ken Casey and Al Barr, Irish-American band Dropkick Murphys are known for their Celtic punk and folk punk sound, showcased in hits like I’m Shipping Up to Boston, Rose Tattoo and more.
