Perth rock and metal bands join forces for live music showcase

Perth band Imperatore, and local four-piece Ammify have joined forces to create a brand-new ‘cinemetal’ live music showcase, Ammitore.

Alongside performances from Imperatore and Ammify, Ammitore‘s first huge inaugural event will be headlined by Icarus Lives, a local female-fronted melodic metal band at Malaga’s new venue, ELEVEN, on Saturday, March 15.

With plans to make it a monthly event, the bands hope this series, featuring a rotating third act, will build community within Perth’s rock and metal scene.

“It started with a simple conversation between Imperatore and Ammify,” said event organiser Zoran Cunjack. “We thought about this concept as a great way to connect with other fellow bands, some of which we can learn from because of their stance in the industry, and some of which we can share the growing experience of a new band finding their way on stage.”

“So, each month we plan to put on a show together and feature a third act as either a headliner or a support, depending on what they are comfortable with. It’s all about supporting each other and sharing what we love to do with audiences around this little corner of the Earth!”

The location of the debut show has been kept secret from fans, with the address of the exclusive Malaga venue, ELEVEN, only accessible through purchasing tickets. While the bands are looking forward to the debut, Cunjack hints that it is just a taste of what is to come.

“All three acts are working hard to create a live experience that is unique, visually exciting, and hopefully something memorable for the audience. Icarus Lives are just an amazing live act. They are big energy and such lovely human beings, and it has been almost two years since they last performed live, so what better way to bring this new event to life than with such an exciting return to the stage for Icarus!”

“We have big plans, with some big acts. Come and check out our big launch event on March 15 to get a taste of what’s to come. Quite literally, as there will be free snacks served to ticket holders!”

Under 18s are allowed to attend the event if accompanied by a parent or guardian, with doors opening at 7pm and tickets costing $15
